The Sailing Center and Hemingway’s bar & restaurant are open for business. The Sailing Center offers sailing instruction, kayak & paddle board rentals, fishing tours, sailing tours, and much more. While we do offer memberships to those living in the area, we are open to the public and happy to introduce new folks to our beautiful area.

Here on Bahia Potrero we get plenty of wind, bays protected from the majority of swell, and warm tropical water. Add in a nice bar, great restaurant, beautiful pool, and lots of fun events, it's a recipe for a good time.
Whether you want to sail for the day, improve your skills, go kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, or get your kids involved with sailing, the Costa Rica Sailing Center has what you're looking for. And if you just want to sit on the beach, we've got a great spot for that as well.
In terms of sailing, we are a CANSail Facility. Our focus is based firmly on fun, safety, and seamanship. We are experts at getting you out sailing (or paddle boarding, kayaking, etc.) and back again safely. All of our instructors are certified in CPR and First Aid. Whether you're looking to have an amazing experience on the water, improve your skills or learn a new one, we can help.
Our fleet of fun, fast, safe boats are perfect for a wide range of sailing experiences. Whether you're a competitive racer or a novice who loves the idea of sailing, or somewhere in between, we've got the boat and the level of instruction for you.
Owners Jeff Herrman and Justin McCarter are old friends who first sailed to Costa Rica in 1994 from San Francisco, CA. Their goal is to share their love of the sport and the skills they've developed over 30 years of sailing.
